Cities that stopped existing

With the resurfacing of the Bluffton City in Texas, lots of curious questions have developed about certain cities that have vanished around the world. There are a lot of ways that cities cease to exist: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc. Here are three of the cities that stopped existing after a tragedy destroyed it.

Centralia, Pennsylvania. Coal mining is a well-known industry in Centralia. But in 1962, a fire ignited in the anthracite coal-mining site which endangered the life of citizens. In the case of Reschensee, however, a bell tower remains as a reminder of the civilization that existed under the still waters. The bell tower found in the middle of the lake is a 14^th century church in Reschensee or the Lake Reschen in South Tyrol, Italy. During the year 1950, the city was submerged in the lake in this essay writing. A measurement of 1,290 acres of land was submerged in water, erasing the villages of Graun, parts of Reschen, etc.
